Meet the Cast of Night is Day - Alexandra Mackenzie - Miss Jones
While series 2 continues to be in post production with episode 4 now scored and awaiting the last few special effects and sound effects, we asked Alexandra Mackenzie a few questions about her character, Miss Jones, who appears in episodes 5, 6 and 7 of series 2, and she featured in episodes 2 and 6 of series 1.
Tell us about the first time we met Miss Jones in series 1.
Miss Jones was determind to make an impact the first time she appeared on Night Is Day. She was on a job for Mr Philips - which was interrupted by Jason - much to her disgust. Miss Jones does not like to be interrupted by anyone !
How does it feel to be coming back ?
It feels great to be coming back. Really looking forward to working with the cast and crew again. And can’t wait to see what is in store for Miss Jones.
What makes Night is Day unique ?
Night is Day is like no other project I have done. You can go wherever your imagination takes you. It’s a first for Scotland and keeps going from strength to strength.
What’s been your favourite experience in making the show ?
I have loved it all and am really looking forward to more adventures with Miss Jones. Its hard to decide what is my most favourite ! Probably the first episode I shot - when I was running through the streets of Glasgow with my electric rod ! A real force to be reckoned with!
Miss Jones has no super powers - what does she use to help her fight the demons ?
My electric rod ! Miss Jones would be totally lost without it - and probably dead ! It has saved her on so many occasions.
How does it feel to play a character like Miss Jones ?
I love playing Miss Jones. She is bad but has a heart of gold of course. She will only mess with you if you mess with her.
If you has a super power what would it be and why ?
I’d want to a the power to have one wish granted every week. Then each week I could wish for a different super power.
